Dr. April Rose is a clinician scientist in the Department of Oncology at McGill University, and an Attending Medical Oncologist at the Jewish General Hospital (JGH), where she manages patients with melanoma, bladder and prostate cancers. Dr. Rose has an interest in clinical drug development and is a Principal Investigator on several Phase I/II/III clinical trials for patients with metastatic cancers run through the Clinical Research Unit (CRU) and Clinical Research Program (CRP) at the JGH.
Dr. Rose is a FRQS Clinical Research Scholar. Her translational-oncology research program focuses on interrogating the molecular determinants of therapeutic response and resistance for novel targeted therapies and immunotherapies in advanced cancer. She has specific interests in therapeutic targeting of proteins within the mitogen activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway, and in advancing precision therapies for metastatic prostate cancer. Her research is funded by grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS), the Cancer Research Society (CRS), and the Marathon of Hope Cancer Centers Network (MOHCCN).
