Research Interests

Dr. Marco Mascarella’s research focuses on quality improvement and risk prediction of treatment intolerance in patients with operable head and neck cancer. Specifically, his research aims to evaluate the effect of pretreatment frailty and sarcopenia on patient trajectories in head and neck cancer care as well as the effect of neoadjuvant systemic therapy in this population.
