Snapshot

Dr. Christina Greenaway is an Infectious Disease physician, migrant health expert, and clinician-scientist in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Jewish General Hospital, the J.D. MacLean Centre for Tropical Diseases, and a Principal Investigator at the Centre for Clinical Epidemiology, Lady Davis Institute for Medical Research, McGill University. Her research program aims to promote migrant health by identifying, quantifying, and addressing infectious disease disparities to improve prevention, diagnosis, and equitable access to care.  Her work focusses on tuberculosis, viral hepatitis, and vaccine-preventable diseases among migrant populations. She has authored national and international screening and clinical guidelines for migrants, including those for Canada (CMAJ, 2011) and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC, 2018, 2021). Dr. Greenaway has conducted large-scale retrospective cohort studies, systematic reviews, and economic evaluations to inform evidence-based policy and practice. She currently leads a multi-province, population-based study using linked administrative data to map the hepatitis B care cascade, quantify HBV burden, and model cost-effective screening and vaccination strategies for immigrants in Canada.
